My Story - Part Seventeen
Derby
On the last Sunday of the month, 28th May 1961, I went to Derby and Crewe for visits to the works and sheds. I have no recollection of how I got there, or who I went with! I suspect it must have been another coach trip from London as I can’t find any record of the trip on that date on the Six Bells Junction web site.
I’ve no idea why I didn’t take any photos inside the works – were they forbidden? I made up for it, at Derby at least, by finding some interesting locos to snap,

North London Park 0-6-0T No 58850 waits in the scrap line at Derby Works on 28 May 1961 after its work on the
