Lineside and Station Sequences
Part Fourteen

St Pancras and Waterloo – 26 March 1960

Two photos, thirty minutes apart – one at St Pancras and one at Waterloo – on a Saturday evening in March.

What was I doing there, what came before, what came after – I’ve no idea! Theatre, concert, opera, aimless wander around London – all credible but lost to my memory.

A few years earlier, before I owned a camera, the arrival at St Pancras would probably have been double headed, a 2P 4-4-0 and a Jubilee, or maybe even an LMSR Compound 4-4-0.
