Engine Portraits - Part Fifteen
Derby, Crewe and Wolverhampton  – 28 May 1961

Three weeks after my Swindon and Beyond adventure I was on another organised coach trip, this time to Derby, Crewe and Wolverhampton.

 

I’ve transcribed my notes of this trip, so along with the photos I took you will get a flavour of what it was like by looking at the lists of engines by class. My notes make it hard to work out what I saw in Derby Works and what was on Derby shed, and the same goes for Wolverhampton, so I’ve put those records in one list for Derby and one for Wolverhampton.
